ST. PAUL, Minn. – If your political yard signs disappear, it may not be an ugly partisan act. It may be a state road crew enforcing restrictions on advertising along highway rights of way. Minnesota Statute 160.27 bars signage that might contributes to a motor vehicle crash and injures a person or damages a motor vehicle that runs off the road. Signs are impounded at maintenance truck stations and can be retrieved.
