ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Rochester volleyball league organizer, Tommy Yang, was charged with sexual assault in a series of alleged meet-ups in May 2021. The arrest followed a teen-age girl’s report about four encounters after they started messaging. The girl said that Yang, who is 31, touched her inappropriately at every meet-up and that he assaulted her sexually at the third and fourth meetings. The incidents, she said, took place in a vehicle at a Rochester parking ramp, at the parking lot at the Rochester Youth Baseball Complex, and at a farm. The charge against Yang: Third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
