WINONA, Minn. – Police took a Winona man to the hospital for a mental health evaluation after a complaint that he had threatened to kill a woman and an 11-year old child. Brent Tyler Mcartor, 29, had threatened to burn them to death, the woman said. This was in the 250 block of Third Street about 9:17 a.m. When police arrived, the man explained that he had wanted to hurt only himself. He had been drinking heavily for several days after losing his job, police were told. There were no physical injuries, police said.
Mcartor. Jailed on tentative charges of domestic assault and terroristic threats.
