STEWARTVILLE, Minn. – A teen-age girl was thrown to the ground repeatedly and punched in an attack by three other girls at Stewartville High School. The victim was taken to a hospital with bloody scrapes on an elbow and a knee and a large bump on her head. This was about 11:30 a.m. By the time a deputy arrived from Rochester, the fight was over. Video showed the victim being dragged to the ground by her hair and punched over and over. When victim struggled up, she was pushed down again and punched more. Two other students piled on. Why did this happen? The victim told the deputy that she had split from the group of four girls last year after they got in trouble for marijuana. She has been harassed ever since, she said. One attacker told the deputy that she had heard the victim wanted to kill her.
