WINONA, Minn. – A man on Walmart’s unwanted list for weeks must have forgotten the no-trespassing order the store had on file with police. He went back Monday. Thus time he carted out hundreds of dollars of electronic gear, including a car audio system and an installation kit. He may have gotten away with the haul were it not for his erratic driving in the parking lot. The weaving and speeding caught a police officer’s eye, who then recognized him as having a revoked driver license. The officer lit the lights. The man stopped. Asked about the audio gear, still in store packaging on the front seat, the man admitted to shoplifting. Because Walmart needed time to tally the value of the stolen items, police let the man go, but they know where to find him. Shoplifting is a misdemeanor up to $500, then a felony.
