WINONA, Minn. – Duringa traffic stop for a bad taillight, a police officer approached the car and thought he saw a gun inside. It was and it wasn’t. It turned out to be a plastic gun look-alike with a can of pressurized mace pepper soray as ammo. In some circles, it’s called a “mace gun.” Also in the car, police said, the passenger had a bag stuffed with hypodermic needles. “Are you diabetic?” The passenger said no. Then why the needles? He was ticketed for a misdemeanor. This was about 3:15 a.m. at Mankato and Wabasha streets on the Far East End.

Mace gun. Where do they get these things? Online probably. Price: $50 give or take.
