WINONA, Minn. – Eighteen months after a devastating fire, ZaZa’s Pub and Pizzeria on Huff Street has reopened with a new owner and a new business plan. The owner of the building, Edward Becker, said the goal is be family-friendly restaurant. This means putting ZaZa’s colorful days as a “college-dive-bar” in the past, Becker said.  The fire, in August 2020. broke out either in ZaZa’s kitchen or a clothes dryer in an apartment in the same building.  ZaZa’s proprietors at the time decided not to reopen, so Becker, as the building’s owner, decided to take over and reposition the business.
