WINONA, Minn. – The days of the Sugar Loaf motel may be numbered. Dax Connely, real estate manager for Kwik Trip, said the convenience store chain has arranged to buy the 1950s motel behind Kwik Trip store at Highway 61 and Homer Road on the Far East End. The motel will be knocked down and the Kwik Trip expanded. Connely said. The expansion will include a car wash, he said.
