WINONA, Minn. — Ronald J. “Roper” Smith, 76, of Winona, an avid bowler known for his homemade horseradish, died at home. He served with the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. Ron’s favorite haunt was his social club Steiny’s on the West Side.
