WINONA, Minn. – After a near 60-degree swing in temperatures the last couple days, surprise: Look for a reversal. Winds were forecast to sweep in spring-like weather perhaps with 50s in the afternoon Thursday. Gusts, expected at 30 mph to 35, could be troublesome. The National Weather Service issued an alert about outdoor fires. The danger is compounded by low humidity. Forecast highs:

> Friday: Mid-70s, perhaps tying the 56-degree record from 1992.

> Saturday: Lower 60s, exceeding the 58-degree record from 1946.

> Sunday: Upper 60s, perhaps lower 70s, exceeding the 56-degree record from 1946

So what does his mean? Sounds like March will come in like a lamb. Old-timers will tell you “In like lamb, out like a lion.”
