WINONA, Minn. – Easter dawned with brilliant skies and temperatures poised to set a record in the 70s. Among Christian churches with sunrise services was St. Martin’s Lutheran on East Broadway across from Sinclair Park. Services were scheduled for 6 and 8 a.m. A year ago everyone was indoors on April 4, when a record-setting storm dumped nearly a foot of heavy wet snow in places. For the coming week this year above-average temperatures were forecast.
