MAPLEWOOD, Minn. – A vendor of N95 respirator masks has been selling counterterfeits of the 3M product to states desperate for supplies to fight the coronavirus. In a cease and desist order, 3M demanded that Supply Link Inc.of Frisco Texas, surrender 500,000 fake masks that had been ordered by Minnesota health-care facilities. Supply Link agreed. The suspect masks are valued at $2.1 million, 3M said, Meanwhile, the company is working with other states to verify the authenticity of offers claiming to be 3M masks. Once the Supply Link masks ae in 3M hands, they will be destroyed.
