FORT MCCOY, Wis.— The 12,000 evacuated Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy mostly have completed their orientation, immigration= paperwork and vaccinations and are ready to move on, the U.S, State Department task force leader said. Next will be the process of guiding refugees into resettlement, said Skye Justice. Resettlement will be across the country, Justice said. Sponsors are being lined up to help the families start their new lives, Justice said.
