ELY, Minn. – A remote and hard to reach wildfire in the Boundary Wilderness reached 10 acres before aerial water drops cut it back a bit.. The Forest Service estimated the fire was 30% contained. The fire is between Lake Three and Horseshoe Lake. One canoe campsite has been closed. The U.S Forest Service hoped that a weekend cold front would generate helpful rain. The fire was first reported Wednesday.
