WINONA, Minn. – Veteran Council member Michelle Alexander was unanimously elected president of the City Council. She was nominated by Gorge Borzyskowski, who held the post 14 years.Alexander has been on the Council since 2010. Also at the meeting: new Mayor Scott Sherman was sworn in., So were at-large Council member Aaron Repinski and First Ward Council member Steve Young.
