Marine Credit Union
Marine Credit Union was founded in 1949 for employees of Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Over the years it merged with or acquired more than 30 financial institutions and moved its headquarters to LaCrosse, Wisconsin. In 2017, the credit union acquired five Bank Mutual branches. In 2018 it acquired 19 Old National branches, By 2019, the credit union had 37 locations in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota, 90,000 members, and 400 full-time employees. In 2020 the company closed 18 locations to, it said, concentrate on improved digital services.
