HOLMEN, Wis. – The president of the Holmen School Board resigned amid allegation of an ethics lapse. Cheryl Hancock, on the Board 26 years, admitted using a pen-name on social media platforms to express views on school issues. For 11 years Hancock used the alias “Annie.” It seemed a small lapse, but critics said it undermined public confidence and credibility. Also Hancock has resigned as executive director of the Coulee Recovery Center in La Crosse.
