ST. CLOUD, Minn. — A suburban Waite Park man was charged robbery and other counts for an eight-hour siege at a bank and taking five hostages. The counts against Ray Reco McNeary, 35:
> First-degree aggravated robbery.
> Second-degree, non-firearm assault with a dangerous weapon.
> Five felony counts of kidnapping with a non-firearm weapon.
Judge Nathaniel Welte continued the bail hearing to Monday because, according to the county prosecutor, McNeary was uncooperative and refused to appear for court. Meanwhile, the county attorney, Janelle Kendall said discussions were under way regarding potential federal charges. Kendall said state charges will proceed as normal until a decision is made about potential federal charges.
