WINONA, Minn. – Police responding to an emergency call found a woman bleeding on her face at a place in the 1700 block of West Seventh. There had been an argument and her live-in boyfriend punched her, she told officers. Nearby police located Deoncio Romello Jackson, 28, whose address showed on his driver license as Waite Park. He denied hitting the victim. When officers pointed to blood on his wrist, he licked it off. This was about 7:40 p.m. Jackson was jailed on outstanding warrants that included domestic assault, drunken driving, drugs possession, and burglary. The woman in the West Seventh incident declined medical treatment.
