WINONA, Minn. – A man who was discovered dead near Devil’s Cave on a Winona bluff hiking trail Wednesday evening has been identified as Caleb James Mikkelsen, 32, of Winona. Police believed the death had been within the previous 24 hours. Police said the body has been sent to Rochester for an autopsy. It appeared Mikkelson shot himself, police said.
