ELK RIVER, Minn. — The body of a 41-year-old man was recovered from the Mississippi River. Cody Jay Pope, 41 had been missing two days after rescuing his two children from the river. The body was retrieved three miles downriver about 9:40 a.m. Pope had disappeared at the Rivers Edge Commons park in Elk River.
