ST. PAUL, Minn. – A Fire Department haz-mat team retrieved an abandoned case packed with what looked to be home-made bombs at the state Capitol. The case had been left in a a first-floor restroom. There was no explosion. This was about 6:30 p.m. after the Capitol had been locked up for for the day. A spokesperson for the State Patrol, which is responsible for Capitol security, said the case contained seven Mason-brand canning jars with an inflammable liquid inside. The jars were wrapped in socks. Also in the case were three bags with a powder of some sort. The haz-mat team disposed of the materials
