ELBA, Minn. – The $4.7 million project to restore historic bridges in Whitewater State Park will mean that the south entrance on the Highway 74 from St. Charles will be blocked, the state Transportation Department announced. The closure begins February 1. The project is expected to take until late October. The project involves repairing bridge floors and walls. The visitor center, camping areas, and most trails can be reached from the Elba north entrance to the park.
