WINONA, Minn. – Finishing touches are going on the new Chicago-owned Burger King across from the hospital. Yes, Whoppers are acomin’. Winona hasn’t had a Burger King in almost 20 years, when a Rochester-owned franchise at Winona Mall had its franchise yanked. The new place, on Mankato Avenue in the Target parking lot, is owned by Cave Enterprises, which has 60 Burger Kings in the Upper Midwest, including LaCrosse.
