WINONA, Minn. – A man accused of raping and terrorizing a St. Charles woman was sentenced to 21 years in prison. Zane Pederson, 21, of Spicer, Minnesota, was given credit for nearly two years in jail since his arrest in 2019. Pederson pleaded guilty in November in exchange for dismissal of 17 other felony charges. Those other charge could have run up his sentence to life. He was also sentenced to 21 months for a separate conviction for burglary two days before the woman was sexually assaulted in her home.
