WINONA, Minn. –A car ran off U.S. Highway 14 at the reverse curve on Stockton Hill about 3 a.m. Police couldn’t find he driver. It was dark, the ground brambles thickening for spring, and the shoulder dropping almost vertically for a hundred feet. Could the driver have stumbled over the cliff? Then came good news: The driver had been picked up by a friend and was well and safe. The accident was near the Seminary Drive intersection.
