ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Rochester man who reportedly flashed a handgun during a fight was booked for illegal possession of a firearm and for carrying a weapon without a permit. The fight had mostly broken ip when police arrived. Witnesses gave this account: Kenneth Aschan, 28, was arguing with his girlfriend when a bystander intervened. A fight ensued. During a break in the fight, Aschan took out a pistol and put it in a vehicle. No one reported Aschan pointed the gun at anyone or made any threats. This was about 9:30 p.m. in the 2,000 block of 8-1/2 Street Southeast.
