BYRON, Minn. – A groundbreaking was held for the new $.5 million nature center building at Oxbow Park four miles north of Byron at the horseshoe bend of the South Branch of the Middle Fork of the Zumbro River. The building will nearly triple the existing structure built n 1980. Interpretive areas will feature the unique geology and habitats of southeast Minnesota. About 400,000 people visiting the park a year. The new facility that should open in Fall 2022.
