STRUM, Wis. – Police arrested a Taylor man after a drone and river search that followed as bumper-thumper in a drive-through lane. It all began with a call from the Co-Op Credit Union that a male driver in a silver car had bumped the read end of the car in front of him and then tossed an orange out the window. When deputies arrived, the driver later identified as Jesse B. Honaker, ran off into a wooded area on the Buffalo River at Oak Street. A perimeter was set up. A K-9 unit and a drone were called in. A resident then reported seeing a man run from Willow Street into the woods by the river. Deputies established another perimeter about 4:45 p.m., and the drone spotted the man in a grassy wooded area on the riverbank. Deputies arrested Honaker, age40, who already had a warrant out for his arrest. The warrants included retail theft, criminal trespass, cemetery damage and bail-jumping.
