HASTINGS, Minn. — The Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $1.5 million contract to Missouri Fabricators of Fulton, Missouri, to build four replacement Tainter valves to control water flows for the lock on the Mississippi River at Hastings. The current valves have been in operation since the 1940s. The installation will be in August 2026 without any impact to navigation, the Corps said.
