WINONA, Minn. – Winona County hit the 9,000 threshold of CoVid infections with 387 new cases over the weekend, the state Health Department confirmed. There were no new deaths. The mortality toll remained at 63 since the pandemic began in 2019. The latest spike, due to the omicron mutation, was higher per capita in neighboring Houston County. There were 103 new Houston County cases over the weekend for a pandemic total of total near 3,400.
