ST. PAUL, Minn. – Evidence is strong that Minnesota has turned a corner against the coronavirus scourge. According to the state Health Department, community spread, hospitalizations and deaths are vastly better than the dire rates in November. Even so, the department noted, hospitals remain concerned about capacity as the disease continues to spread, albeit slower. The department credited Governor Tim for “concrete steps” to reverse the November surge. The governor’s latest executive order, issued December 16, will nelp bridge the gap until vaccination is widely available, he department said. Meanwhile: “We must keep up our safety efforts,” including masking and distancing.
