ROCHESTER, Minn. – No surprise: Incumbent Governor Tim Walz and his lieutenant governor, Peggy Flanagan, were nominated for a second term at the state Democratic invention. Six minutes later, the deed was done. No show of hands. No tallying. It was a voice vote that was unchallenged and declared an acclamation. The endorsement makes it virtually 100%-guaranteed that Walz and Flanagan will be on the August primary and the November general election ballots.

Shoo-ins among Democrats. But can Tim Walz and Peggy Flanagan  win again?? They did it  in 2018 with 54% of the vote to Republican  Jeff Johnson’s  42%.
