WINONA, Minn. – Because of the water main break on Mankato Avenue, northbound traffic on Mankato was detoured about 20 blocks. Traffic was diverted east at Frontenac Drive to Louisa Street to East Sanborn Street and then back to Mankato. Brian DeFrang, city publics works director, said the detour would avoid lane closures on Mankato starting at Frontenac Drive. Traffic will be restored as soon as repairs are completed, he said.
