AURELIUS, N.Y. – The automotive sensor and parts manufacturer BCS told its unionized employees Wednesday that it is reviewing the future of the 100-employee Aurelius plant in the Finger Lakes region of western New York. Also under review, the company said, is its plant in Winona, Minnesota. The review was triggered by a slowdown in U.S. automobile manufacturing, the company said. BCS is a German company that purchased Winona-based TRW in 2015. The company said it will work with the labor unions in both plants, as well as local economic development authorities during the review process. A decision will be made by April, the company said Worldwide BCS is a $1 billion company with 5,000 employees and plants in 13 countries.
