ELEVA, Wis.— One driver was injured and taken to the Osseo hospital after two vehicles collided on State Highway 93 south of Chimney Rock. The accident was about 4:30 a.m. Without explanation, Trempealeau County Sheriff Brett Semingson didn’t release the victim’s name. The man’s medical condition was not known to deputies at the scene. He was trapped in the wreckage and needed to be extricated. The ambulance trip to Osseo was 13 miles. Deputies said a Nissan Altima went through a stop sign and hit a Mazda 6. Both vehicles, deputies said, were damaged heavily.
