MADISON, Wis. – Governor Tony Evers can be expected to veto a Republican proposal in the Legislature to require educators to be silent on race as a pivotal factor in U.S. history. Evers, a Democrat, is the former state superintendent of public instruction. A spokeswoman for the governor said it would seem likely the governor would veto the measure if it ever reach his desk.
