WESTBY, Wis. – A logger was injured when a tree he sawing in a remote area fell and hit his upper body. Alvin Miller, 41, of rural Cashton was taken to the Viroqua hospital. He was expected to recover. The accident was about 3:30 p.m. on private property near the Country Road D intersection with McDaniel Road. Miller was part of a three-man Amish team logging team. One person went for help, while the other stayed with Miller. Rescuers used four-wheel drive trucks and UTVs to reach Miller through rough terrain and snow.
