PLEASANT GROVE, Minn. – A man trying to pull down a tree with a tractor and chain was killed when the tree split and fell on him. Sheriff Kevin Torgerson did not release the man’s name immediately but said he was 71. Deputies found the man dead in the seat of the tractor. He had severe head and face injuries. This was about 3 p.m. The accident was seven miles southeast of Rochester in the 3500 block of 110th Street Southeast in Pleasant Grove Township.
