WINONA, Minn.– Fastenal executives and civic leaders donned hard hats and dug in with spray-painted gold shovels to break ground for the company’s riverfront office building. Among dirt turners: Dan Florness, the company’s chief executive; Dana Johnson, the company’s corporate real estate vice president; Mark Peterson, mayor; and Christie Ransom, Chamber of Commerce chief executive. The building is designed for 400 to 600 office employees. Site: Second Street and Walnut in the shadow of the Interstate Bridge. Completion target: Fall 2021.
