HASTINGS, Minn. — The state Natural Resources Department reported that a deer killed by a hunter in Dakota County tested positive for the fatal brain disease that has been spreading through deer herds in southeast Minnesota. The deer was the first case of chronic wasting disease n DNR’s South Metro disease management zone.
