ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Rochester man has been charged with attacking and robbing his housemate at their townhouse. Ernest Jordan, 27, was charged with aggravated robbery and felony domestic assault. Bail was set at $25,000. What happened: A neighbor called police and reported an assault outside the townhouse. Police said they found “a visibly distraught woman” having a hard time breathing. The woman’s account, according to the criminal complaint: Jordan was angry at her spending. He smacked her on her stomach and sides and grabbed her throat and squeezed. The woman refused to give him her money. He came more irate. He smacked her more and tried to get credit cards from her wallet. He also stole her keys and cell phone. The woman ran outside. He gave chase, put her in a chokehold-style headlock,  and dragged her back in.
