WINONA, Minn. – With federal approval of the first COVID vaccines expected December 11, plans are in place for the first inoculations in Winona. County public health supervisor Melanie Tatge said 975 doses are expected to be available right away. Those doses, she said, will be followed by enough to give each receiver a second required dose soon after. The first inoculations will be mid-December, she said.
Who? Where?
The Winona Health clinic will the Winona County hub for vaccinations. A first phase is designated for medical providers, congregate-care facility residents and possibly staff, and people at high risk. Vaccine will be available to others in later phases as more vaccine arrives. At Winona Health, inoculations will be in the north-end Parkview wing.
