DULUTH, Minn. – Police found five people and a dog dead in an East Hillside house after being asked by suburban Hermantown police to follow up on a tip. Duluth Police Chief Mike Tusken confirmed the deaths at a news conference but offered few details. The killer, he said, seemed to be among the dead. Among details being withheld, Tusken said, would be the names of the victims and how they died. The investigation was just beginning, he said. The bodies were in a house in the 700 block of East 12th Street. Tusken said there seemed to be no ongoing threat to public safety.
