WINONA, Minn. – Old refrigerators are worth dollars to the Ready Set School project to buy school supplies for needy kids. Mandi Olson, director, said that Miller Scrap will donate $1 for every appliance dropped off at its scrapyard on Shives Road on the extreme East End. Eligible besides refrigerators: Freezers, air conditioners, water heaters, washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, and dehumidifiers.
