ST. PAUL, Minn. – Bars and restaurants can resume limited indoor service starting Monday, Governor Tim Walz announced. The new rules are a major drawdown of Co-Vid restrictions. Walz has revised his executive orders in 30-day increments during the pandemic. As of Monday, restaurants and bars can open at 50% capacity for a maximum of 150 people, with no more than six people to a table or two together at a bar. People must stay six feet apart. A 10 p.m. service cutoff remains in place. Reservations required.
Other revisions:
> Indoor entertainment venues. Movie houses, bowling alleys and museums may reopen at 25% capacity for a maximum of 150 people in each area. Masks required. No food service after 10 p.m.
> Gyms. Limited to 25% of capacity still but the number of people allowed rises to 150. Classes allowed for up to 25 people. Pools remain limited at 25% capacity.
> Youth and adult sports. Practices may contiinue. Indoor games limited to 25% of capacity or a maximum of 150 spectators. Outdoor venue limits of 25% capacity with the max increasing to 250 people. Interregional tournaments and out-of-state games discouraged.
> Worship. Places of worship remain limited at 50% of capacity. No more cap of 250.
> Private gatherings. Wedding receptions and other private parties can resume. If food and beverages are served, there is a cap of two households or 10 people indoors and three households or 15 people.
