MADISON, Wis.— Gov. Tony Evers on Thursday closed Wisconsin schools for the rest of the school year because of a continuing coronavirus threat. Evers also extended his stay-at-home order for another month. Republicans reacted swiftly to the Democratic governor’s decision, falling in line with President Trump’s on-again, of-again calls to re-open schools and businesses by Memorial Day weekend.
