MINNEAPOLIS – A federal grand jury indicted three men for arson during a riot in downtown Minneapolis in August after false rumors about a police shooting. Indicted were Shador Jackson of Richfield, 24; Victor Edwards of St. Paul, 31; and Leroy Williams of Minneapolis, 34. Edwards and Williams were previously charged. The indictment alleges that Jackson used a construction sign to smash through a glass door at the Target office building and then set a fire on the counter inside. Edwards is accused of adding a liquid accelerant to the fire. Williams is accused of attempting to light a fire inside the building’s entrance. The damage occurred after a large group of people gathered in downtown Minneapolis in response to false social media reports that a man had been fatally shot by police.
