ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Rochester man accused of intentionally ramming his car into a motorized scooter pleaded guilty. Daniel Lara, 29, admitted to being drunk. Police had video from July that showed Lara swerving his car at the man as he was dismounting the moped, then running over the moped and driving across two lawns without slowing down. The man flew onto the roof of Lara’s vehicle before landing on the lawn. The man suffered a concussion. Police also had home surveillance video from the previous day with Lara attacking several people during an argument at a party and holding a gun on the moped guy.
