WINONA, Minn. – A motorcyclist suffered critical head injuries in a collision with a car on a back street entrance to  the Far East End shopping districct anchored by the Walmart and Menards big-box stores. . Laverne Joseph Feuling, 57, of Winona, was taken to the nearby Winona hospital, then airlifted to a Rochester trauma center with grave head injuries. The collision was at Bruski Drive between the Target store and Fleet Farm  The back street has had unusually heavy traffic by shoppers seeking to bypass tangled construction lanes along 10 blocks of Mankato Avenue, where four round-abouts are being installed. The accident was about 12:30 p.m. The driver of the car, Timothy David Chiglo, 65, of Winona, told police he had stopped and then proceeded when the collision occurred. Chiglo said he didn’t see the motorcycle coming. The impact ejected Feuling from the cycle. Details of the accident may require a State Patrol reconstruction, police said.
